Woman loses both legs, one arm, in a tractor accident

The woman is believed to have used a tractor with a ‘slasher’ – a large tray dragged behind the vehicle with blades to clear grass or other vegetation.

The accident happened at a property in the rural town of Ballandean, about three hours inland from Byron Bay, just before 9am.

The woman, who is in her 60s, has been flown to hospital for treatment and is in a critical condition.
