Lambton OPP has identified the victim who died after being hit by a vehicle on Walpole Island earlier this week.
On Monday, officers along with members of the Walpole Island Police Service, Walpole Island Fire and Chatham-Kent EMS responded to a report of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian on Chief’s Road.
The person, Clifton Tooshkenig from Walpole Island First Nation, was transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Police are continuing the investigation and will provide further updates when they become available.
