TWO people have been taken to hospital with “serious injuries” after a three-car pile-up.
The accident happened last night at around 5.45pm on the A283 in Steyning between Canons Way and Clays Hill.
The road was closed in both directions while emergency services attended.
A van, Skoda and Ford were involved in the accident.
A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said: “Police were called to the A283 in Steyning at around 5.50pm on Friday August 5 following reports of a collision involving three cars.
“Two people were taken to hospital with suspected serious injuries.
“The road was temporarily closed to allow emergency services to respond to the collision and for recovery of the vehicles to be arranged.”
West Sussex The fire and rescue service was also present.
