A terrible head-on collision involving two transport trucks last night forced the closure of the Trans Canada Highway in central Newfoundland.
The collision resulted in an extensive fire and forced a diversion of traffic around the site through Bishop’s Falls while crews took to the site. The RCMP confirms that traffic is still being diverted through the community this morning, while officers continue to process the scene.
There are no immediate words about injuries.
Police are asking witnesses to the clash to contact them.
