The Tories are set to lose their Wakefield seat in the midterm elections and could also be defeated at Tiverton & Honiton if Labor supporters vote tactically, a leading poll expert has said.

A double defeat means the government will be “at risk of losing its electoral foot”, said Professor Sir John Curtice.
