Boris Johnson will tell Prince Charles to “keep an open mind” about deporting migrants to Rwanda when they meet at the Commonwealth Summit.
The Prime Minister will speak to the successor to the throne one-on-one in Kigali tomorrow for the first time since The times revealed that Charles has privately paralyzed immigration policy as “shocking”.
After a meeting with Paul Kagame, the Rwandan president, Johnson said: “I am delighted that Prince Charles and everyone here are today to see a country that has undergone a complete or a very significant transformation.”
He continued: “People need to have an open mind about politics, critics need to have an open mind about politics. Many people can see its obvious benefits.
