Police appeal for help after man’s body found at Queensland boat ramp

A man’s body has been found at a Queensland boat ramp without damage prompted a police appeal for the public’s help.

Officers went to bushland near the Twin Waters boat ramp on the Sunshine Coast about 10am. 17.40 yesterday, when bushwalkers had made the grim discovery of a 49-year-old man’s body.

The man did not appear to be injured and an autopsy will be performed to determine how he died.

Police are appealing for anyone who visited the boat ramp on Nojoor Road yesterday between 8am and 5.40pm to come forward.

“Police would also like to speak to anyone who saw the man or his vehicle, a 2012 silver Hyundai Accent, parked in the boat ramp car park on Nojoor Road,” police said in a statement.

The 49-year-old is described as having a fair complexion, around 170cm tall, with brown hair.

He was wearing black clothes and a black rain jacket.
