There were 37 COVID-19 deaths in NSW and four of those people had not received three doses of a vaccine, according to the report.

Last week, 27,750 people tested positive for COVID-19 in NSW, a 17.6 per cent increase on the previous week – a trend consistent with every state.

The rolling seven-day average of hospitalizations fell to 73 hospitalizations from 75, but 511 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in the past week.

There were 59 admissions to the intensive care unit last week.

PCR testing also increased by 16 per cent

Flu activity is at low levels, but NSW Health still recommends getting the flu vaccine, especially for those traveling to the Northern Hemisphere.
