Man killed, another seriously injured in house fire in Melbourne’s west

A man has been killed and another seriously injured in a massive house fire in Melbourne‘s west, which has triggered a smoke warning for people in the area.

Firefighters found the two-storey house on Winjeel Court in Braybrook “fully alight” when they arrived at around 6pm. 8.40.

A 42-year-old Braybrook man died at the scene.

A 76-year-old Braybrook man was taken to hospital in a serious condition caused by smoke inhalation.

A local warning has been issued for people to be aware of smoke in the area.
