A consumer watchdog expects to see fuel prices fall even more before going the other way.
PUB reduced the price of gas, diesel and other fuels this morning but Dan McTeague, president of Canadians for Affordable Energy, doesn’t see how the agency can refrain from going even further in the next few days.
A barrel of oil has fallen by about $15 over the past week or two due to reduced demand, especially in China, where the country is under a COVID lockdown.
McTeague expects to have to drop another 5 cents and diesel by 7 or 8 cents.
He says prices will rise again once China comes out of lockdown.
