Today (Saturday): With dew points in the mid-70s likely, heat index values in the mid-90s are likely in the hottest and steamiest places. The thermometer may top out in the upper 80s to low 90s. Skies are partly to mostly cloudy, but we may end up seeing a bit more sunshine than Friday.
A few raindrops are most possible at any point during the day, but the biggest (and only moderate) chance of showers and storms starts around mid-afternoon. The storms should be less numerous than Friday, but one or two storms could still be strong to severe. We have a slight 5 to 10 percent chance of a flooding rain or two. Moderate afternoon south breeze around 10-15 mph is possible. Confidence: Medium-High
Tonight: An evening chance of showers and storms may extend closer to midnight, but any rain activity should diminish in intensity and coverage by then. Skies are likely to remain mostly cloudy even after the rain ends. Mid to upper 70s is the best we can do for low temperatures. Practice. Thanks to dew points in the mid-70s that prevent the atmosphere from cooling much below this level. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow (Sunday): The sky may offer a hair more sunshine than Saturday, and correspondingly (a hair lower) showers and storm chances. With more sunshine, highs will rise a bit more to near 90 in the mid-90s. As the afternoon draws in, remember to go indoors if the thunder showers. A few storms may appear across the region, especially from mid-afternoon onwards.
A moderate south-southwest breeze may be noticeable during the afternoon hours. Do I even need to mention how humid it will feel? Well, heat index values around 100 degrees are possible – that’s the combination of humidity and air temperature. Confidence: Medium-High
Tomorrow night: After sunset, the chances of rain decrease, but they are not completely gone. There is a slight chance of a shower or storm until the early morning hours. The sky is slowly clearing and any wind calms as we approach dawn. Cool low temperatures hover in the mid to upper 70s. Confidence: Medium
The steam can continue Monday and Tuesday, with high temperatures in the low to mid 90s. Dew points may not drift as much, if at all, as once thought. This means heat index values in the low 100s are possible. The chances of rain are still lowest on Monday vs. Tuesday. Still, a chance of showers and storms cannot be ruled out either day – especially in the afternoon and evening hours. Low temperatures have just dropped into the usual range lately, in the mid to upper 70s. Confidence: Medium
